Patsy E. Lane was born in Konawa, Oklahoma, in what is known as the river bend, where she and her husband still have a cow/calf operation.

A love of the outdoors and its inhabitants has always been a part of her and is reflected in her sculptures.  Ordinary creatures doing things they do naturally as well as the wilder side of life depicted in their element.

Pat was featured on the OETA (PBS) show “Gallery”, during 2004 and participates in shows both locally and nationally.  She is a member of the Oklahoma Sculpture Society, Holdenville Society of Painters and Sculptors and OKLA.

Artist’s Statement:  To see the forms take shape and the response to these creatures that evolve in bronze feeds my soul.

Born and raised in Des Moines, IA. Art has been a love of mine for as long as I can remember and I have been gifted with the ability to draw animals in a life like manner.

I moved to Oklahoma in 1989 while working in the automotive business where I met and married Mark Jewell. Working long hours kept me from two of the things I love, my art and my animals.

We moved to Steamboat Springs, CO in 1993 and had the chance to slow down just a little. We eventually purchased a property that gave us the room to keep our horses and dogs, and gave me the opportunity to watch God’s creation at play. One of my goals is to never have to live without horses again. We moved back to Oklahoma in 2003 and live on 10 acres with 6 dogs, 3 horses and a constant flow of foster puppies. I am a board member and volunteer photographer for Chouteau Pound Pals, a non-profit, no kill shelter located in Chouteau, OK.
